As our QA Automation Engineer, you'll be the quality gatekeeper of our products, ensuring they're secure, reliable, and user-friendly. You'll do more than just automate our tests; you'll be a critical thinker, problem solver, and team player. With your experience, you'll help us raise the bar and make our testing game bulletproof.
You will be part of the .NET Plugin team. The plugin is the most user interface to the Zivver and Kiteworks platforms, any bug or issue in this product has immediate and potentially big impact on a very large number of people, no pressure ;). The fact that it is a plugin in Outlook, with many different options and ways of working, makes it a very interesting environment and crucial for test automation.
Job Requirements
- You bring with you 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation, preferably using an object-oriented language like C# /Java.
- Nice to have experience with tools like FlaUI, SpecFlow, Testmo, Gitlab and Selenium
- You have strong Analytical skills, to understand complicated bugs not just find them
- Your experience in web/front-end testing has honed your attention to detail, allowing you to identify and troubleshoot issues with ease.
- You are well-versed in API testing and have a knack for ensuring that all APIs are thoroughly tested and function as intended.
- Your eagerness to explore and test new products is a key attribute that will help drive the quality of the product forward.
- You are familiar with the latest testing approaches and are always seeking new ways to improve and streamline the testing process.
- Beyond boundary-value analysis and equivalence partitioning, you have extensive knowledge of various test design techniques that you can apply to any situation.
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Possessing ISTQB/TMap certification will elevate your skillset, and we are more than happy to assist you in obtaining the certification.
- Demonstrating expertise in using cutting-edge technologies like Docker and GraphQL will set you apart from the competition.
- A background in Agile methodology will help you within our fast-paced and ever evolving environment
- Exposure to CI/CD processes will demonstrate your understanding of modern software development practices
Job Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a strong set of automated tests to find any obscure bug early in the process.
- Craft a top-notch Test Plan
- Debate DOD/DOR/AC with your team
- Join in every step of the Product team process, and bring your ideas and estimations to the table during high level design meetings, sprint backlog refinement, and sprint planning sizing sessions.
- Pen down manual test cases, utilizing Atlassian Jira and Confluence to document test cases, results, and outcomes based on requirements.
- During each sprint, pen test cases with clear acceptance criteria for both functional and non-functional requirements, document expected outputs, and lead the charge on quality by triaging bugs and defects.
- Analyze automated test results, troubleshoot any automation snags, and run E2E, regression, UAT, and performance tests for releases.
- Produce status reports on tests executed during sprints, prioritize defects and issues based on impact to customers, and work with the product team to resolve them.
- Collaborate with other QA team members on test automation strategies for the product stack.
- Partner with the Customer Support team and Product team during bug triage and fix clarification.
- Champion the drive for automation to reduce manual testing efforts and focus on quality improvements for the product.
