What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will be responsible for writing code, design, and development of scalable software for enhancing service capabilities and expanding product portfolio. You will own cross-team engineering initiatives and champion a culture of high engagement, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Here Is a Breakdown

• You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable solutions for Omnissa, enhancing the integration of Workspace ONE Intelligence and Unified Endpoint Management products.
• You will be engaged in shaping product features in close collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders, including, but not limited to Engineering, Product, User Experience and Support teams.
• You will be expected to produce software design and corresponding code with the highest quality and on time. You will be expected to be an active contributor to design and code reviews.
• Dev Owns Quality is principle you will follow and encourage.
• You will actively contribute to full automation test coverage.
• You embrace the Kaizen culture.
• You will be engaged in support and troubleshooting activities for the orchestration engine.
  
  

What will you bring to Omnissa?

• Work with the engineering teams and product stakeholders to review and refine delivery requirements.
• Write technical design documents and hold reviews.
• Design software and write code primarily using Java, Spring Boot, AWS managed services and cloud best practices.
• Build data and orchestration platform that span multiple services/products.
• Perform Work breakdown and plan execution in Jira for larger features/initiatives.
• Implement and improve processes around DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD.
• Participate in all team agile ceremonies.
• You will follow engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor and help build the next generation of technical leaders within your group.
• We work as one team across the globe, and as such, everyone owns every aspect of the product, from developing new capabilities to supporting customer issues.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

This position reports to the Engineering Manager of Workspace ONE Freestyle team based in Sofia, Bulgaria, an established software engineer and manager with 15 years of experience spanning multiple domains. Additionally, the Technical Leadership consist of a team of highly skilled Senior and Staff engineers with deep technical expertise in various tech stacks and domains. The broader team working on the platform is cross cultural and is spread in few locations - USA and Bulgaria. Each of the co-located teams fully owns specific parts of the product and the respective microservices.
